About Riziki Kenya

Who we are and what we stand for

Riziki Kenya is a Christian organization established in the year 2000, with attainment of formal registration and certificate by the NGO registration bureau in May, 2001.

Our initiatives are child centered and human person driven. We respond to psycho-spiritual and socio-economic challenges facing orphans and vulnerable children in slums and other under privileged circumstances. Our goal, therefore, is to empower the orphans and vulnerable children by providing them with opportunities for physical, social, psychological and spiritual development.

Our mandate is to “Let the children into the kingdom of God,” where they will experience life in abundance. As we celebrate 18 years, Riziki Kenya positions itself to provide platforms for children so that they are able to get life opportunities while pursuing education. They also get engaged and nurtured in physical, social and spiritual activities which enhance the wholeness of the children making them alert and better persons. RIZIKI works with the government, community groups and other organizations to build the capacity of the vulnerable to address their own challenges.

The NGO Coordination Act is wholly adhered to in Riziki due diligence in the NGO sector.

Riziki aspires to be a Christian global model for Holistic child Development

To develop Holistic individuals by positioning them to exploit God given opportunities as they experience life in abundance.

Core Values

Our Programs

Riziki Kenya is currently implementing programs focusing on 3 distinct thematic areas across five counties in the country. Her work is estimated to be impacting over 10,000 families annually amongst our target community. This has contributed significantly to poverty reduction, especially among vulnerable women. The women who form a sizeable population constitute the highest segment of the dependents on handouts.

As a strategy to improve overall performance of the small businesses, RIZIKI Kenya has organized the vulnerable women into groups of between 8-12 women. The organization has facilitated the registration of the groups with the government and has also assisted them to open group bank accounts. RIZIKI trains the women on handcraft skills, business finance, entrepreneurship, loan management, psycho-social support, table banking among other trainings to enhance self-sustaining initiative and good leadership. Populated, this has proved viable in terms of reducing overall poverty and dependency.

Committed and leadership of The Board of Directors manage the overall functions of the institution and gives advisory inputs for the smooth running and corporate outlook. A dedicated staff runs the day to day operations. To compliment this, programs are assisted by interns and volunteers guided on our work relations, community owned resource persons, networks, alliances and affiliations. Partners and donors help in funds managed on implementing guidelines that suit the recipient community.
