Mitigating the impact of HIV and AIDS

Since its inception in 2003, this program has been active in counseling and treatment of 10,000 people. They have benefited from awareness in seminars and workshops, door to door, and rallies by well integrated Riziki Kenya programs.

The aim of this program is to mitigate the socioeconomic impact of HIV & AIDS on people living with the HIV in Kibra slum and its environs. It provides group therapy, home-based care services, counseling, health education, youth behavioral change and communication, networking and linkages.

Other forms of psychosocial support include post-test follow up. The program has facilitated the formation and registration of HIV & AIDS community-based groups that form linkages to offer much-needed support to positives.
